Harvesting: Butternut Squash

From a family member's neighbor's butternut squash gifted last November, I saved the seeds and this year produced 4 butternut squash!

I grew the vine over an A-frame and ended up with a butternut squash growing up there! It needed a sling to keep the weight of the vine. This was, coincidentally, the first ripe butternut squash. Most of the others had to be harvested while the vines were still a bit green, due to winter weather coming on, but they were at least ripe!
