Success: Lemon Blueberry Yogurt Cake

I'm not sure how or why, but all the blueberries sunk to the bottom of my lemon blueberry yogurt cake from TheKitch. It stills tastes lovely, but now I have a baking/scientific puzzle on my hands. 'Considerably more puzzling than the mystery of where half my cake got off to...

  1. I'm pretty sure that's a common problem, probably caused by the weight of the blueberries.

  3. Looks yummy anyway. I really love that plate with the blue. Reminds me of my grandmother's dishes.

  4. Thanks, Jillian. Almost all my blue & white plates are Royal Copenhagen knock-offs from TJ Maxx/Marshall's, Ross, and for this particular plate, The Christmas Tree Shoppes. I'll pay $4/plate, but $150 is pushing it ;)

  6. It's pretty easy to correct the problem -- just toss the blueberries (or any other berry, chocolate, etc, in such a recipe,) in flour before cooking. They don't sink that way!
