Blue Apron: Week 18

Spiced Pork, Squash & White Bean Soup with Lacinato Kale & Sage-Walnut Pesto
The Spiced Pork, Squash & White Bean Soup with Lacinato Kale & Sage-Walnut Pesto was good, but the pesto really made the soup. The soup by itself was just alright.

Cavatappi Mac & Cheese with Purple Top Turnip & Kale
I guess I'm just not a fan of Blue Apron's root vegetable casseroles. I've made two, and this Cavatappi Mac & Cheese with Purple Top Turnip & Kale is just sort of meh. Of course, there's bunches of leftovers.


The Roasted Cornish Game Hen with Rosemary Baguette Stuffing was sent the week of Thanksgiving. However, not feeling like trussing and stuffing a whole bird, we simply threw the lot in the freezer for some day when we feel up to the challenge!
