A friend from home came to visit for the weekend and I had visions of cake for breakfast. The yogurt cake from TheKitchn is light and not too sweet. 'Reminiscent of the lemon olive oil cake, something else involving olive oil cake batter (although the yogurt cake is even easier to put together). I paired the yogurt cake with some tangerine lemon curd from Joy the Baker. Next time we make lemon cake with lemon curd! Or is lemon-on-lemon just redundant?
P.S. You don't need a springform pan for the cake recipe if you just divide the batter evenly between two circular cake pans and cut baking time by 10 minutes.
P.P.S. The tangerine lemon curd makes my taste buds do a happy dance.
