Barbie's career for 2010 is going to be a Computer Engineer. It's not too surprising, when you leave it to an internet popular vote...and the outfit really is no girlier/offensive than the rhinestone-studded logo shirt I got from Microsoft at a
Grace Hopper Conference a few years back.

Haha! Oh, you're correct. As the NYTimes Article: "Computer Engineer Barbie still has her trademark cascade of blond hair, impossibly small waist, feet frozen on tiptoes to slide into her high heels and a whole lot of hot pink" and "Before any one begins complaining, Mattel points out that her accessories were chosen with the help of the Society of Women Engineers and the National Academy of Engineering."
So at least they looked for some sort of official-esque input.
