Edwin B Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge

We visited the bird refuge in the rain. Normally we'd get out and walk about, but the nasty weather kept us within the confines of the car, leaving me to take some depressing photos of the marsh. Cold weather brings out the ducks, coots, buffleheads, and geese. They couldn't care less if it was raining or not.

On the bright side, the rain did keep the people away, which meant we had the bird refuge to ourselves.

Gorgeous photos. Some of my most reflective moments in life occurred at wildlife refuges. They are so calm and peaceful.

Looks gorgeous, despite, or maybe because of, the rain!
