Leftover Seattle: Discovery Park

Discovery Park Lighthouse
Seattle is just speckled with parks, many of which are designed by the same architects as Central Park in NYC. These photos are of Discovery Park, with a side trip to the Ballard Locks.

Standing on top of the cliff with the dead grass (Seattle had a very dry summer), I felt the first scent of autumn. Maybe it was just the chilly air coming off the water. Or maybe it was that it was over a week into September. Either way, fall's here now. Bring out the peacoats.
