I'm not sure if it was the substituting 1.75 powdered sugar for granulated or if it was the foil in the pan, or what, but this cake just had no intentions of coming out of the pan. Hence, cake in a bowl. It still makes a fabulous breakfast.
Recipe is from SmittenKitchen's Rasberry Buttermilk Cake but I substituted wild blackberries picked from the weekend's bike ride. Other than the pan-sticking, this cake really is lovely. Easy, slightly sweet, fluffy. A good, solid cake.
