That slice of Chocolate Magic Custard Cake from WhiteOnRiceCouple up there looks pretty tasty, doesn't it? Well, not if you accidentally use corn starch instead of powdered sugar. I could tell the texture was a bit extra firm when I removed it from the oven, but it wasn't until I took a taste later that night that I'd realized something went terribly wrong. The cake had absolutely no sweetener in it at all!
I will try this recipe again, but maybe using the correct ingredients.
