Snorkeling Kealakekua Bay
A few days after our Hilo-side adventure, we headed out to Sea Quest in South Kona for a 4 hour snorkel tour of Honaunau and Kealakekua bays. The trip started off well with an immediate visit from spinner dolphins and some poking around old lava caves. When snorkeling, Jim spotted a turtle!

After snorkeling we went on a journey to look for a macadamia nut farm to visit. The cashier at our lunch spot told us there is no such thing, but we ended up at Lion's Gate Farms which was basically just a house on a plot of land that happened to grow coffee beans, macadamias, bird's eye chilis, and an assortment of other produce. We bought a sampling of their products, and promptly stuffed our faces with mele macadamias for the next several weeks.
