Snorkeling Kealakekua Bay
A few days after our Hilo-side adventure, we headed out to Sea Quest in South Kona for a 4 hour snorkel tour of Honaunau and Kealakekua bays. The trip started off well with an immediate visit from spinner dolphins and some poking around old lava caves. When snorkeling, J spotted a turtle!

After snorkeling we went on a journey to look for a macadamia nut farm to visit. The cashier at our lunch spot told us there is no such thing, but we ended up at Lion's Gate Farms which was basically just a house on a plot of land that happened to grow coffee beans, macadamias, bird's eye chilis, and an assortment of other produce. We bought a sampling of their products, and promptly stuffed our faces with mele macadamias for the next several weeks.
