Possibly the highlight of my time in Sancerre (which is really saying something!) was an E-bike ride I took with three classmates on the weekend, around the area. Sancerre is on a
steep hill, so the E-bikes made something that could have been quite unpleasant...entirely enjoyable. I'd never ridden an E-bike before, and so I was very pleasantly surprised by how it all worked out.

The scenery, of course, was absolutely amazing. I cannot express what magic Sancerre and its surrounding area are. A feast for the eyes, food for the soul.

We began at the Sancerre Tourism Office, who lent us the bikes. It's good for the ego to start at the top of the hill before making your way down, lol.

I don't even know exactly where we went...but we went through San Satur and eventually ended up at some of the little îles in the Loire River. Possibly Île de la Gargaude. The little roads we took through the farmlands and meadows also took us past livestock.

On our way back, I think we may have followed Le Bas de Creux, or some other canal-type waterway which led us to one of the viaducts. We mostly played it by ear, following street signs, but we did eventually make our way back through Ménétréol and then Sancerre.
