Nice Things: Bad Movies & Skinput

Thursday, April 8, 2010

It's been a busy week. 'Haven't really had anytime to craft, or cook, or think, or anything. Tonight there's a showing of Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" at one of my favorite ice cream shops. Wikipedia calls the film "the Citizen Kane of bad movies." Full of plot holes, bad acting, the whole shebang. Impressive. It'll be good for decompressing my brain.

And now for something completely different: here's a pretty cool method of computer input (using your own skin as a device) being developed by one of my comrades. It's been written up all over the place, including BBC, MSNBC, etc.

If you're interested in more conceptual future-looking views of this technology (mostly faked/Wizard-of-Oz-ed), you might want to check out Pranav Mistry's TED Talk on SixthSense Technology.
