Purple Sweet Potato Kit Kats and Strawberry Kit Kats

This past week was Valentine's Day, as many of you know. The Japanese celebrate a little differently from the West, in one of the greatest marketing ploys ever. On February 14, women buy men chocolate. One month later, on March 14 ("White Day") the men who received chocolate a month prior, must return the favor with white chocolates.

I celebrated the only way I know how. By sampling purple sweet potato (taro) Kit Kat bars.

I never knew that's how the Japanese celebrated... very interesting. Thanks for sharing!

I'm also curious as to how the sweet potato kit kats tasted.
