Camping: Allegheny National Forest

Campsite
We borrowed a gigantic 10 person tent this past weekend before grabbing some good friends from college and heading to the Loleta Recreation Area in Allegheny National Forest. This car camping is our version of "glamping": air mattresses, gas grill, showers, and no backpacking! The weather held out for us and we were even able to see some pretty impressive stars before the clouds rolled in. I once had a summer goal that entailed looking at the stars, so I always try to make time for that. Especially two hours north of the city in the middle of nowhere.

We encountered no less than 2 bridges out, resulting in intense back-tracking detours. One should expect no less in the back country of Pennsyl-tuckey!

Can I say, I really love that you toasted tofu squares over the campfire
