California: Big Sur

Fog Horizon
So it seems that if you continue on, past Carmel-by-the-sea, you end up on a coastal road to California's Big Sur, which is what I did some weeks ago with my little sister in tow. Our goal was Nepenthe for lunch and McWay Falls as a turn around point. But everything in between was so lovely we made multiple stops.

As we returned to our motel in Pacific Grove, we could see the fog rolling in. How very Northern California of it!
It's mid-February and it's early spring here. Highs always in the 60s, sometimes 70s. The trees don't have leaves yet, but the grass is neon green and the early flowers are budding. Cherry blossoms already. How very Northern California.

I was just here a few weekends ago - the weather is fantastic already, isn't it?
