After the magically tragic chocolate custard cake I whipped up this old standby from Upside Down Fruit Cake from TheKitchn. I used nectarines because that's what I had on hand.
Of course, I prompty mixed wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and ended up with a biscuit-like texture for the cake. But! It still came out tasting okay, because this recipe is a total champ!
