Etsy is a lifesaver for weddings. Not only do vendors sell veils at least 50% cheaper than the stores, but the same goes for rings. And necklaces. And feathers. And whatever else you might need. I purchased my wedding band from etsy (after trying on bunches of styles at stores). I love it.
And the variety and level of customization cannot be beat. A monogram votive holder? Keychain with your name & date? Personalized cake toppers? Random stuff with your name on it that will never again see the light of day (*cough* hangers)? ETSY! I love all of the goofy details we ended up with, including those frivolous name/date hangers:
- etsy/paulajeansgarden: Dried lavender/larkspur/cedar bouquets (a pretty cheap way to do flowers)
- etsy/RosadosBox: My wedding band, and the loveliest collection of vintage-inspired wedding/anniversary bands and engagement rings
- etsy/Cyberoptix: Pocket squares with screenprinted audio cables and ties to match
- etsy/ESDesigns14: Sterling silver keychain with our wedding date and GPS coordinates
- etsy/FirePigsDesigns: Lasercut votive holder with both our last initials
- etsy/gaugenyc: Metal Initial/Monogram Cake Toppers
- etsy/Primitiveweddings: Silly wooden hangers laser-engraved with our names and wedding date
- etsy/BridalBridesmaid: Bridesmaids' shawls, although Amazon has comparable prices and better return policies
- etsy/omtarabead: A respectable striated baroque pearl on my custom necklace
- etsy/FemmartJewelry: Bird necklace to add the pearl to
- etsy/HornswoggleStore: Pretty nifty cross stitch pattern for a pretty nifty lady
- etsy/WeekendzOnlyApparel: Coordinating 'Married AF' t-shirts for the airplane, soooo soft
- etsy/PrintCutWorld: Great for paper goods inspiration
- Assorted vendors: tiny organza bag for ring warming, vintage crochet-edged handkerchiefs, silver laurel wreath hair comb, and assorted gifts for assorted people.
