- Cut 3/4" strips (sew together pieces to make long enough, as needed).
- Iron strips in half, wrong-sides facing each other.
- Make enough flange strips (for the triangle tree skirt, we need 6).
- Pin raw edges of flange to raw edges of quilt block.
- Sew flange to quilt block with scant 1/4" inseam.
- Continue sewing flange strips to all quilt blocks as needed. Trim ends.
- Pin raw edges of quilt blocks to one another.
- Sew quilt blocks together with 1/4" inseam, iron open. Using a scant 1/4" inseam on the flange, and a full 1/4" inseam on the quilt blocks, should hide the flange seams.
- Continue sewing quilt blocks together, leaving one triangle pair unsewn.
