I'm in love with black and white cookies (specifically the black and white cookies from my hometown diner), so I decided to make these red velvet black and white cookies, without the red food coloring. It's just unnecessary. "Velvet" Black and White Cookies, anyone?
The only real mistake I made was adding too much water to the white glaze, and I made the cookies rather large.
These cookies are delicious. They're like flat, little individual cakes.
Note to self: extra melted chocolate chips + butter makes a ridiculous english muffin spread.
