A riff on a theme I've been seeing from J. Crew this past season. I bought two J. Crew t-shirts on sale for $8/each, removed the sleeves on one and embroidered some spade-shaped "petals" to the collar of the other. Please don't mind the wrinkles.

A loose-fitting Gap tee on sale gets a new life as an art-camp-inspired creation. The gingko leaves' veins were too fine to be displayed by the paint. Maybe a linoleum block cutting would be better next time.

Academichic has a good post on DIY Embellished T-shirts.
