Sociological Images has an interesting post about Piaget's stages of development, accompanied by videos exemplifying the stages. Developmental psychology seems like one of those forgotten concepts. We don't have many memories from when we were 3, not because it was so long ago, but because at 3 years of age, humans can remember very little.
I can distinctly remember having the conservation-of-volume argument with my mother when I was much younger. If you pour water from a short, fat glass to a tall, skinny glass, which one has more water?
