My old point-and-shoot, the Casio EX Z55, lasted seven years and died sometime this year. After a lengthy grieving process, it was time to purchase a new handy little camera that fits in the pocket. But with smartphone cameras, why buy a new point-and-shoot? Well, really, there's no point, unless of course you want to take photos underwater. Of course.
You've already been seeing photos from this new little guy, the Nikon Coolpix AW100 from a selection of a handful or two of Seattle shots. It'll feature much more prominently in the photos from Greece.
It's nice to have a camera where I don't have to worry if it rains in the middle of a hike, and that I can just tuck into my swimsuit while doggy paddling in clear waters during vacation. And then again, who doesn't want to take photos of underwater fish?
