Several weekends ago we headed out to Palo Alto's Foothills Park, and it was the first that didn't require sitting in line for 15 minutes to get parking. Foothills Park is limited to residents of Palo Alto, which we are not, but it helps to know someone ;) It was a lovely April day to go for a quick, nearly deserted hike. Everything has just been getting greener and greener, and the wildflowers were just about to come out! We did
Coyote Trail. Really a lovely hike, if you can swing it.
The Bay Area is so densely populated, it is a truly unique experience to be outdoors with lovely scenery in solitude.
