While foreigners may be aware of Sancerre wines, the town is equally well known within France for their
crottins de chevignol which can be a VERY strong chèvre, depending on how long its aged. So, no French class in Sancerre is complete without a vocabulary unit on goats and cheese, followed by a visit to
Le Chevrerie des Gallands.

Lotsa goats. Lotsa goat cheese. Lotsa tour guide speaking basic French for us ding dongs to follow along. And, of course, lots of tastings!
Not shown: an absolutely delightful little gift shop full of local gourmand food items. Pastas, spreads, crackers. Flavors to complement your
crottins de chevignol, bien sûr!
