At the start of social distancing times, I went back to California life and bought some of my favorite dried beans. This was shortly before the NYTimes ran its article on 'A Boom Time for the Bean Industry'. So the timing was good. And now we have tons of beans.
Around March 12 we went to the grocery store, and the canned beans were completely picked over. But there was plenty of dried beans, so we added some Goya bean selections to our collection. You really get a lot more bang for your buck with the dried beans, so it was a little confusing. Best I can figure is most people don't cook with dried beans. But anyways. Tasty beans!
