What?! Two MORE Sew Liberated Nocturne Pajamas?!

Nocturne Pajama Set - Three Quarters Nocturne Pajama Set - Three Quarters

Impressive how some fabrics don't scream PAJAMAS until you turn them into pajamas. And then. There you are.

This is a three-quarters view of the Nocturne Pajamas for chillier spring nights. The Sew Liberated Nocturne Top is a size 12 with 2.5" added to length (because, tall). About ~1" of gathering fabric removed from the front, 1" from the back (by moving the pattern pieces just past the fabric fold when cutting). All raw edges enclosed via burrito method and French seams. I used Joann Fabrics light aqua double gauze and viscose in a semi-complementary blue plaid (not too matchy matchy!).
Pants are a size 16 with an improvised capri length (I think the bottom lengthen/shorten line, after I added 3" to the length?). Even more excitingly, I added two buttonholes (backed with some interfacing) an inch apart on the front waistband before assembling, stitched a zigzag seam ~3/8" from the edge on the elastic, and then strung a complementary drawstring through (2" wide tri-fold bias strip, doing what it does best).

Nocturne Pajama Set - Long Nocturne Pajama Set - Long

This Nocturne Top is a size 12 with 2.5" added to length. ~1" of gathering fabric removed from the front and back (by moving the pattern pieces just past the fabric fold when cutting). All raw edges enclosed via burrito method and French seams. I used Joann Fabrics light aqua double gauzeand viscose in a semi-complementary blue plaid for the yoke and pants pockets.

Pants are a size 16 with 3" added at the lengthen line, another 1" at the cuff, and then a 1.25" double-folded hem. Also, 1/2" full seat adjustment to address a bit of a wedgie issue I've been having going up/down stairs with previous pairs. I also added 2 buttonholes, backed with some interfacing, 1" apart on the front waistband before assembling. After assembling, I stitched a zigzag seam ~3/8" from the edge on the elastic, and then fed a 2" wide tri-fold bias strip through the waistband. Maybe now I can put a cell phone in my pocket without losing my bottoms.
