April 18 & 20, 2022
This past autumn I purchased a rather larger bag of crocus bulbs in purple and white (sort of like this mix from AmericanMeadows), and now, in early spring I'm reaping the benefits! I love early spring flowers so much, they're such a welcome sign of the warmer weather to come after months of cold. I'm not sure why I didn't plant more of these earlier!

I planted them on the hillside we don't mow very well (it's very steep!), which menas they'll get some time to gather their energy for next year. Assuming the dog doesn't trample them too much...I did try to avoid planting in the main walkway down the hill, but. Well. Dogs. Most of the flowers look no worse for wear!
